Théo Duboule – Guitar
Banz Oester – Double bass
Noé Tavelli – Drums
Duboule | Tavelli | Oester is a trio that stands out as one of the most singular and striking ensembles on the contemporary Swiss jazz scene.
Nourished by the spiritual intensity of John Coltrane and Jimi Hendrix, and by Afro-descendant rhythmic constellations, carried by unpretentious virtuosity, an incandescent pulse, and a strong taste for risk, these three internationally respected musicians distinguish themselves through a prodigiously ambitious music.
After a well-received first album, Street Sight (Hout Records, 2022), praised for its sonic richness and creativity, D|T|O released their second album, Isobar, on Unit Records in November 2025. Recorded with trumpeter and Swiss Music Prize winner Matthieu Michel, this album continues their pursuit of a music anchored in their reality — both tense and free.

“Without ever forcing it, the music unfolds a high intensity — it has density and yet remains transparent.”
Jazzthetik, Arne Schumacher
“With their new album Isobar (a process in thermodynamics that occurs at constant pressure), the Swiss trio of guitarist Théo Duboule, drummer and percussionist Noé Tavelli, and bassist Bänz Oester explores the possibilities of collective improvisation as an expression of contemporary times.”
Jazz Thing, mxb
“The Swiss trio … belongs to the most idiosyncratic and innovative ensembles of the current jazz scene.”
KulturPort, Uta Bretsch
